“It's wrong to ask companies that provide donations and goods for the ones in need to pay tax and VAT as if they are selling the goods”
- stated Aleksandar Vulin, the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Issues, who is expecting the exemption from paying taxes on donated goods to happen during the current year.
On that occasion, the Ministry of Finance reminded that the current laws governing tax on corporate profit and personal income already offer tax deduction for corporate giving.
In order to consider the possibility of realization of the idea of abolition of tax on donations, Ministry of Finance will discuss this issue further with the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Issues.
