For the first time one of the laurels of the Croatian Pride Award is a company - Valamar Riviera DD from Poreč.
Since 2014 Valamar organizes the “1,000 days on the Adriatic” national program that provides free holidays for children without parental care, in economic need, or with physical health problems.
This year Valamar Riviera granted free stay for 20 institutions, schools and associations, among which are Sunce Novi Marof Association, Podravsko sunce Care and Educational Center, Mali zmaj Association, Roma Future Association and DIRA Association.
Children have spent a total of 1,000 days in the 30 hotels and 13 camps that Valamar runs.
The Croatian Pride Award was established in 2005 and since then acknowledges “neighborhood heroes”, ordinary people whose actions have shown remarkable humanity that inspired others or have done something which served as an example to others.
