The Zadar Tourist Board has for the sixth time organized the fundraising flying lantern festival called Make a Wish for Love.

Many well-known Zadar citizens took part in the event promotion and sale of the lanterns. One part of the festival was also the concert of the popular local band Zadar Express and the program hosts were Ana Marušić and Ivica Štorić.

This year, almost 5,000 lanterns were sent to the sky from Saint Donat Square on Saturday, February 18th. The price of one lantern was 25 HRK (3.35 EUR) and the entire income will be donated for medical treatment of 20-year old Anđela Piplović. Anđela has the Rett syndrome and needs treatment in a specialized clinic in Maastricht, Netherlands.
