On Thursday, March 30, Banka Hrane Crna Gora (Food Bank Montenegro) celebrated 7 years of work.

During that period Food Bank Montenegro has distributed 203,100 tons of food to families and individuals in economic need, helped 14,650 families consisting of 65,100 members and implemented 986 campaigns with assistance of 2,802 volunteers.

Everything was achieved primarily by huge enthusiasm from people engaged in Food Bank Montenegro, entirely by volunteer engagement, without government support and equally without office premises, warehouse, vehicle and money.

Fortunately, Food Bank Montenegro had significant support from the media, as well as from high-minded people and socially responsible companies having quintessential understanding and empathy for adversities that Montenegrin citizens living in poverty are facing. They gave valuable contributions in the campaigns organized by Food Bank Montenegro.

When almost half of the citizens of Montenegro is either in poverty zone or at the edge of absolute poverty, Food Bank Montenegro represents precious link between those in urgent aid need and those who can and want to help, contributing at the same time to mitigation of very difficult situation.
