Several Croatian Banks took part in marking of 2017 European Money Week that was celebrated in 32 countries from 27th to 31st of March.
European Money Week is a joint initiative that aims to raise public awareness on financial literacy and improving financial education for students from elementary and secondary schools. The week consists of a series of events in the participating countries and at the European level.
The Croatian Banking Association launched an e-learning quiz called Online Payments in cooperation with the Štedopis Institute for Financial Education. The Quiz covers Internet payments security, types of credit cards, methods of payment, work out between wishes and needs in an aim to responsibly manage money. Zagrebačka Banka has traditionally organized financial, educational workshops that were attended by nearly 3,500 high school students from 78 vocational high schools in 39 cities. Raiffeisenbank Austria dd Zagreb organized workshops in several high schools and supported debate about the usage of the euro, at the Zagreb Faculty of Economics and Business. Hrvatska Poštanska Banka HPB has opened the office doors for 1,000 high school students, who had the opportunity to study financial affairs and experience monetary transactions.
