Donations can be more than fundraising and donating supplies and consumables,as Borče Stamenov from Kavadarci showed us. He’s an employee in IT company, where every day he is working with computers that can be repaired and donated. He got an idea to donate computers which clients don’t need anymore, surprising families that can’t afford them.

Since then, he is calling out people to write him on his Facebook profile, so he can put them on his waiting list for donations.

Borče told us that despite computer cases, often he donates a keyboard and mouse. If the company he works for has printers or scanners at the time, they are also giving them as a donation for people who need them. Displays that are being donated are in excellent condition, tested for accuracy. In addition, Borče mainly is working on the configuration of the computers, such as collating, cleaning and installation of the operating system.

So far, he has donated 20 computers to 20 families in Kavadarci. He told us that the value of each donation is different depending on the configuration. However, if the average would take that a donation is 8.000 MKD(~130 EUR), Borče so far has donated 160.000 MKD(~2600 EUR).

We congratulate Borče and we invite all those creative young people who can somehow help their citizens, to do it!
