Letsdancers are the supporters of a great project: Let’s Dance, the Annual Fundraiser for Mothers and Children, a successful initiative from a group of private sector and non-profit professionals who wanted to create a different kind of a fundraising event. They came up with a simple but effective idea: gather people in downtown Pristina, focus on the community, have fun and dance for a good cause. The ideal recipient of the funds raised was Action for Mothers and Children.

Action for Mothers and Children is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian foundation developing health programs in Gynecology/Obstetrics Clinics (that care for mothers), Neonatology Intensive Care Units (that care for prematurely born babies) and Pediatric Clinics (that care for children suffering of Leukemia, heart diseases, asthma and other illnesses) in Kosovo. The partnership is a significant source of support for them, raising more than EUR56,000 in the first two years, and EUR23,500 in this years event.

This event proves that often the simplest ideas are the best, and this one is already becoming a tradition in the community. As See Observer writes, the funds collected are used to buy vital equipment for medical centres in the country and the event is already hailed as a movement of solidarity and kindness, looking to tackle the issue of high infant mortality rates in Kosovo.
