One of the few sanitary landfills in Serbia is being dramatically filled - in order to reduce this problem, GM Optimist Organization came to an idea to create Recycling Yard where citizens can bring PET packaging, paper, cans, glass, carton and receive monetary compensation for this. At the same time, the Recycling Yard would reduce poverty in the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac. The waste will be collected ecologically, by bikes carrying trailers, and will also be taken from legal entities. The profit will be invested into landscaping of public areas, helping people with health issues and reducing poverty, improving conditions at health institutions, etc. All that is needed for this project are two bikes with trailers that cost 100,000 RSD (app. 810 EUR). Earlier, in May 2015, 350,000 RSD (app. 2,830 EUR) were raised for this project at DobroČiniTi event.
