Croatian National Television, the Rotary Club Zagreb 1242 and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra organized on Friday, December 23rd a fundraising concert at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Spectators enjoyed the popular Christmas songs performed by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Girls’ Choir Zvijezdice, pianist Mia Pečnik and world famous duo 2 Cellos.

Croatian National Television broadcasted the entire event, so people from entire Croatia had the possibility to get pleasure from the concert and to donate by calling the dedicated phone number.

The entire income of over 110,000 HRK (approx. 15,000 EUR) will be used for acquiring the necessary equipment for the sensory room at the Vinko Bek Center for Care and Education.

The Vinko Bek Center is an institution for education and rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired children, youth and adults and it was founded in 1895 on the initiative of Vinko Bek, first Typhlopedagogy in this part of Europe.
