Alen Krsmanović is finishing his MA studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He is a talented young painter, photographer, and video editor. Alen is also a person with a disability - he has an arthrogryposis, a disease that causes muscle contraction and deformity of the joints, due to which he is not able to use his hands. He creates his art only with his mouth.
Alen has finished his lectures this summer and still has a couple of exams to take. You can check his portfolio here. His Academy building isn't accessible to people with disabilities and during his studies, he always had his personal assistants with him. They helped him in everyday tasks and duties. The problem here is that the moment he finished his last lectures, he has lost the right to his personal assistants, and he can't take those exams or finish his thesis without them.
That is why he launched a crowdfunding campaign on Generosity by Indiegogo. His goal is to reach EUR3,400, which is an equivalent to his personal assistants five-month salary. Until now, he has raised around EUR750.
Alen is determined to finish his studies. He came this far, but his limits are much higher. He needs you so he could surpass them. Join his cause on Generosity.
