For the first day of school, Lidl has donated welcoming bags to 522 first graders from 25 schools from underdeveloped areas. In order to make their first day at school special, Lidl representatives personally handed bags with school supplies and snacks to first graders in Darda, while pupils from other schools got bags on the same day.
In elementary school Darda, the Head of Corporate Communications Marina Dijaković personally handed bags to first graders and wished them a successful and exciting new school year.
Bags were shared into the following schools: Blage Zadre (Vukovar), Dragutina Tadijanovića (Vukovar), Dragalić, Donji Lapac, Dr. Franjo Tuđman (Beli Manastir), Davorina Trstenjaka (Hrvatska Kostajnica), Dvor, Cetingrad, Čeminac, Draž, Gvozd, Lovas, Vojnić, Ivo Kozarčanin (Hrvatska Dubica), Markušica, Eugena Kvaternika (Rakovica), Stari Jankovci, Vladimir Nazor (Topusko), A.G.Matoš (Tovarnik), Tordinci, Zrinski (Nuštar), Primorje (Smokovljani), Stara Gradiška, Darda, Ivo Kozarac (Nijemci).
Lidl also gave a day off to all its employees whose children are starting school this year so they could be with them and share that important moment.
